Regional Offers ​
Regional offers are job opportunities broadcast to all eligible engineers in a geographic area. Unlike standard offers which are assigned to specific engineers, regional offers are competitive - multiple engineers see the same opportunity and the first to accept gets the job.
What Are Regional Offers? ​
When a job needs to be filled quickly or no specific engineer is available, the system sends a regional offer to all qualified engineers in that area. These are additional opportunities on top of your normal job flow.
Regional offers appear with a distinctive badge indicating "Offered to local engineers" to differentiate them from standard offers assigned directly to you.

Offered Regardless of Availability ​
Regional offers are sent to engineers regardless of their availability settings. This is intentional behaviour, not a bug.
Why This Happens ​
Regional offers represent urgent opportunities that need quick fulfillment. The system prioritises getting the job filled over respecting individual availability preferences because:
- Urgency - These jobs often need immediate attention
- Flexibility - Engineers may choose to take on extra work even outside their normal availability
- Coverage - Ensures no job goes unfilled due to availability constraints
Declining Regional Offers ​
Engineers can decline regional offers at any time. There is no requirement to accept them and declining has no negative impact on your account or future job offers.
How to Decline ​
When viewing a regional offer, tap the Decline button. The offer will be removed from your view and remain available for other engineers.
No Penalty for Declining ​
Unlike standard offers where repeated declines might affect your standing, regional offers are explicitly designed as optional extras:
- No impact on acceptance rate metrics
- No reduction in future standard offers
- No account warnings or flags
