Air Conditioning Installation

Air conditioning installations are jobs for installing new AC units in residential properties. These are typically single-day jobs involving both indoor and outdoor unit installation.

Engineer Qualifications

AC installations require F-Gas certification. Engineers must have:

  • Valid REFCom registration number
  • F-Gas qualification document

Accepted governing bodies: REFCOM, FGAS register. Accepted FGAS training certificate providers: City & Guilds, LCL Awards, BESA.

Completing an AC Installation

Engineers must complete the following steps:

1. AC Commissioning Form

A mandatory form capturing installation details:

  • Job details - Description of work carried out
  • Customer details - Name, telephone, address (landlord address if applicable)
  • AC unit details - Indoor and outdoor unit serial numbers
  • Business details - Registered address, telephone

The form supports both homeowner and landlord customer types, with landlord-specific address fields shown conditionally.

2. AC Installation Photos

14 mandatory photos for a single-unit installation (+3 per additional indoor unit)
