Sign Up

New engineers must complete a sign-up process to create their account and verify their identity before they can receive jobs.

Before You Start

Engineers need the following documents ready:

• Passport, birth certificate, BRP, or Visa
• Limited company number (if applicable)
• Liability insurance documentation
• Vehicle insurance documentation
• Basic DBS check
• Qualifications for the types of jobs they want to work on

Sign-Up Flow

Step 1: Account Creation

Email & Password

Engineers create their login credentials:

• Email address - Used for sign-in and communications
• Password - Must contain:
  • At least 6 characters
  • A capital letter
  • A lowercase letter
  • A number
  • A special character

Engineers must accept the EULA and Privacy Policy to continue.

Personal Details

• First name
• Last name
• Mobile number - With country code selection

Step 2: Home Address

The engineer's home address is used for job matching - jobs closer to home are prioritised in offers.

Address can be entered via:

• Address finder - Search by postcode
• Manual entry - Full address form

Step 3: Company Setup

Trading Type

Engineers select their business structure:

Type	Description
Sole Trader	Self-employed individual
Limited Company	Registered company with Companies House

Limited Company Details

For limited companies, the app looks up company details from Companies House:

1. Enter the 8-character Company Registration Number (CRN)
2. Company details are fetched automatically (name, address)
3. Verify the details are correct

If multiple engineers work for the same company, only the main installer completes full company setup.

Insurance Documents

Limited companies must upload:

Document	Requirement
Employer's Liability Insurance	Minimum £5m coverage
Public Liability Insurance	Minimum £2m coverage
Vehicle Insurance	Valid motor insurance

Step 4: Identity Verification

Personal ID

Engineers upload one of:

• Photo page of passport
• Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) / Visa
• Birth certificate

Documents can be photographed or uploaded from the gallery.

Profile Photo (Selfie)

A profile photo is required as customers will see this. Guidelines:

• Clean white background
• Look presentable
• Position yourself within the frame
• Must be taken live (no gallery uploads)

Step 5: Work Regions

Engineers select the regions where they want to receive job offers. This determines which jobs are shown to them based on geographic area.

Step 6: Required Documents

The following documents are required to complete the application:

DBS Check	Dated within the last 12 months. If pending, upload proof of application.
Asbestos Awareness	Training certificate
Working at Heights	Training certificate
Waste Carriers Licence	Valid licence
Manual Handling	Training certificate
Ladder Training	Training certificate

Engineers can skip this step and upload documents later, but there will be a delay in application approval.

Application Review

Once all steps are complete, the application is submitted for review. Engineers cannot receive jobs until their application is approved.
